New testimonies from prison 2017

Here are some new testimonies from prison, February 2017

Nong Bua Lamphu prison:

Than

Since I have accepted Jesus, my heart feel very happy. Before, I didn’t know Jesus. The court wanted to send me to another prison. We prayed and asked if we could stay here. My sentence was 9 years and 2 months. I had to pay for a lawyer and it costed a lot of money. We prayed to God and He answered my prayer. God gave the money to me. I thank God.

Sang

In 2014 I was baptized at KlongPai prison. I am thankful to God that he allowed me to be part of this family. I received a life sentence and have served 17 years already. If I receive amnesty I will be released this year. God protected me through many trials and persecution. I have peace. God blessed us abundantly . During my time in Klongpai prison, nobody visited me. Since I have moved to this prison, my daughter and son have visited me.

Putai

I have received a miracle from Christ. All my life I have been searching for love. I also searched for those who have a heart for people and don’t despise the weak. Even though I didn’t know what I have been searching for was love, I found Jesus and I now have peace and warmth in my heart.

Suvita

I didn’t know Jesus until I became very ill at Udonthani prison. One of the older sisters came to pray for me. She asked me if I believed. She said “if you believe I will pray for you” She also said that if she prays for me , I had to join the church. I felt hopeless at the time. The sisters consoled me and prayed for me. My hope increased. Within 3 months things changed. I was healed from my cancer. Praise God I have a happy life now.

Sister K

I have HIV in the final stage. Before I accepted Christ I took many medicines. I became so confused. Then I saw Tawee (one of our group members who used to be in this prison himself) and was so encouraged to join the church. I will follow Christ from now on.

UdonThani prison:

Ong

I was baptised 4 years ago. I have been in this prison 4 years. I studied the Bible a little but have never gone to church. Then I started to study the Bible through correspondence course. I got baptised and became a disciple of Jesus. We help each other to grow in God. I read “The Daily Bread”  and it taught me how to read the Bible in one year. Now we have a group committee and we meet every Sunday and we praise God.

Knowing Jesus has changed my life noticeably. I have peace. I am addicted to the Bible now.

Jakopat

I am from KlongPai prison. Pastor Klom wrote to me to encourage me.  Our group pray for your team always. We believe faith comes by hearing the Word. Rom 10:17. I will be released in 120 days after the new king’s inauguration.

Ponchai

I am a witness for the Lord. My life was changed by Jesus. When I was young I obeyed my parents. When I grew up, I did my own thing. In secondary school I became involved in drug trade. I wanted to get rich. It was an easy job. I had to travel a lot. I finally realised that my life was not safe. I searched for protection. I collected many amulets around my neck, it was so heavy. I didn’t feel safe.

I met many Evangelists. I heard about Jesus but I didn’t believe. I thought it was a lie, until I was arrested and sent to prison. My dream was broken. Only sadness and brokenness remained. I wanted to die. I saw a man in prison who talked to me with a smiling face. I thought, it must mean that he had received something good. I started searching. My friend said I should study the Bible. I started to read the New Testament from the beginning to the end. I found 2 Cor. 7:9 ( For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich”. I accepted Christ and believed.

I was baptised and since then my life has changed. I have been here 10 years and I have never disturbed my relatives, I have never gone hungry. I studied more of the Old Testament now. Psalm 40:2 (He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire, he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand) When I read this I had confidence in God. I knew I have been truly saved. If God did not bring me into prison, I don’t know how I would have met Christ. My life would have been selfish. I want to encourage you to get baptised. Praise God.
